Tessa Thompson to executive produce adaptation of The Left Right Game podcast. Amazon won the screen rights to the QCode mystery sci-fi podcast in a seven-figure deal.

Emma Tammi directed the podcast and Jack Anderson wrote it based on his online blog of the same name. The ten-part series follows an idealistic journalist (Thompson) as she tries to make a name for herself by following a group of paranormal explorers. The explorers are obsessed with the Left/Right Game which is seen as a seemingly harmless pastime. Her journey takes her into a world of the supernatural that she and the other members of her expedition can’t handle. Or survive.

This will be the second time a QCode podcast has been acquired for an adaptation. First it was Carrier podcast and now The Left Right Game podcast. The first was the sci-fi thriller Carrier which Amblin acquired the rights. Amblin will adapt it into a feature film with Cynthia Erivo set to reprise her role from the podcast of the same name.
