Amber Riley is stepping into the world of romance with Savvy Sheldon Feels Good as Hell, a new film adaptation of Taj McCoy’s Harlequin novel set to premiere on The CW.
The film follows Savvy Sheldon (Riley), a woman balancing a stressful and underappreciated job, a failing situationship, and the well-worn kitchen she inherited from her grandmother—along with a deep love of cooking. With encouragement from her mother and best friend, Savvy decides it’s time to renovate her life, from her career to her kitchen. Enter Isaiah (Dorian Grey), a charming contractor who quickly discovers there’s more to Savvy than her culinary skills. As sparks fly, Savvy begins to find her own true calling.
Directed by Samantha MacAdam and written by Miriam van Emst and Shelley Scarrow, the cast also includes Nadine Whiteman and Malaika Hennie-Hamadi.

Produced by Neshama Entertainment in association with Circle Blue Entertainment, it’s executive produced by Arnie Zipursky, Dayna Zipursky, Floyd Kane, Amos Adetuyi, and a slate of producers from Centinel Media, Harlequin Studios, and Fremantle. FOX Entertainment Global is handling international distribution.
