Amazon MGM Studios’ Road House 2 is leveling up its roster with new additions including Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor, Michael “Venom” Page, and Tyron Woodley. They join a growing ensemble that also features Rico Verhoeven, Michael Chandler, Dustin Poirier, Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson, and returning cast member Jay Hieron.
Iko Uwais (The Raid) and Hidetoshi Nishijima (Drive My Car) have also boarded the sequel.
Jake Gyllenhaal returns as former UFC fighter-turned-bouncer Dalton, with Aldis Hodge, Dave Bautista, and Leila George already on deck. Character details remain under wraps, but the sequel is described as a bigger, more ambitious production shooting across the U.K., Malta, and Savannah, Georgia.
The follow-up arrives after 2024’s Road House reboot pulled in 80 million viewers during its first eight weeks on Prime Video.
Ilya Naishuller is directing from a script by Will Beall. Producers include Charles Roven and Alex Gartner for Atlas Entertainment, and Jake Gyllenhaal and Josh McLaughlin for Nine Stories Productions as part of their first-look deal with Amazon MGM.
Bachelor continues his rise from digital creator to actor and producer, recently wrapping Violent Night 2 and set to star in the Paramount+ comedy series Hate the Player: The Ben Johnson Story.
Uwais, known for The Raid franchise and Wu Assassins, will next be seen in his directorial debut Timur, arriving December 18. Nishijima most recently appeared in Apple TV+/A24’s Sunny and has Enemies and Her Private Hell on the way.
No release date yet, but expect some heavy-hitting action on the horizon.
