Anthony Davis’ ‘Foul Play’ Scores Full Series Order at TBS

Anthony Davis is officially back in prank mode.

TBS has handed Foul Play with Anthony Davis a full-season series order, expanding the prank concept into a 16-episode run of half-hour installments following the success of its February 2025 special. The order marks the network’s first new series pickup since rebooting The Joe Schmo Show last year and further solidifies TBS’ limited but targeted slate of original programming.

The series is set to premiere Monday, April 16, immediately following the NCAA National Championship game—an intentional sports-adjacent launch that aligns with the network’s broader strategy.

Foul Play puts a competitive twist on the prank genre, giving elite professional athletes a single opportunity to pull off an elaborate prank—or “foul out” trying. What sets the show apart is its behind-the-scenes access, allowing viewers to see the planning, missteps, and chaos that come with executing high-stakes pranks at this level.

The original special featured appearances from World Series champion Mookie Betts, WNBA standout Cameron Brink, and NBA guard D’Angelo Russell. According to Warner Bros. Discovery, the special averaged 3 million viewers, becoming the network’s highest-rated debut in its time slot in more than five years.

The series arrives during a high-profile year for Davis, who was recently traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks in a blockbuster deal that sent Luka Dončić to Los Angeles.

Produced by Grandma’s House Entertainment, Bad Woods Entertainment, and 4.4.Forty Media, the show continues Grandma’s House’s relationship with the network following The Misery Index, hosted by Jameela Jamil.
