Arsema Thomas (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story) is set to lead Fall 2, the sequel to the breakout 2022 survival hit. She will lead the sequel alongside Harriet Slater (Outlander: Blood of My Blood) and Tom Brittney (Grantchester) in the anticipated Lionsgate release, which wrapped principal photography earlier this year in Thailand.
Directed by Michael and Peter Spierig (Jigsaw, Predestination), the second installment was co-written by Scott Mann—the original Fall’s writer-director—alongside Jonathan Frank.
Official Synopsis
Still reeling from the death of her sister Hunter, Jax (Slater) turns to Hunter’s fearless friend Luce (Thomas) for support. Together, they take on the infamous plank walk of Mount Kwan in Thailand. When a sudden rockslide leaves them stranded 3,000 feet above ground on a fragile plank, Jax must confront her deepest fears to survive—and find closure.
The film is produced by Tea Shop Productions’ Mark Lane and James Harris (47 Meters Down), Capstone Studios’ Christian Mercuri, David Haring, and Mann via his Flawless banner. Executive producers include Dan Asma, John Long, Roman Viaris, Capstone’s Ruzanna Kegeyan, and Wych Kaos of Kaos Entertainment, who also handled production services in Thailand.
Lionsgate is set to release Fall 2 in early 2026, with Capstone continuing international sales at this week’s TIFF market. A third installment, Fall 3, is already in the works, with Mann returning as writer and director.
The first Fall—made for just $3 million—became a surprise box office success, grossing over $20 million globally and later finding massive viewership on Netflix.
