BET has officially renewed its hit series Sistas for a tenth season, ahead of the Season 9 finale airing tonight at 9/8c. Fans won’t have to wait long for more drama from Atlanta, as Season 10 is set to premiere on January 7 at 9 PM ET/8 PM CT, with new episodes dropping weekly on Wednesdays.
Written, directed, and produced by Tyler Perry, Sistas follows a group of single Black women navigating careers, friendships, and love in the modern world. From dating struggles to social media pressures, the hour-long dramedy explores what it’s like to search for love in your 30s while balancing life’s ups and downs.
The ensemble cast includes KJ Smith, Mignon, Ebony Obsidian, Novi Brown, Crystal Renee’ Hayslett, Devale Ellis, Chido Nwokocha, Brian Jordan Jr., Angela “Angie” Beyincé, Branden Wellington, Chris Warren, and Kevin A. Walton. Returning recurring stars from Season 9 include Darone Okolie, Walnette Marie Santiago, and Sullivan Jones. BET promises more announcements soon regarding new and returning cast members for Season 10.
The Sistas universe has expanded with spinoffs. Earlier this year, BET+ launched Divorced Sistas, following five friends — Rasheda, Geneva, Naomi, Tiffany, and Bridgette — navigating life, love, and the challenges of divorce. LeToya Luckett leads the cast alongside Khadeen Indréa, Porscha Coleman, Briana Price, Jennifer Sears, RonReaco Lee, DeVon Franklin, Donovan Christie Jr., and Robert Christopher Riley.
The first spinoff, Zatima, starring Crystal Renee Hayslett as Fatima and Devale Ellis as Zac Taylor, premiered in 2022 and most recently aired its fourth season in September.
