Pluto TV is giving daytime drama fans even more to binge with the launch of a dedicated channel for Beyond the Gates, CBS’ groundbreaking soap opera created by Emmy-winner Michele Val Jean.
The channel debuts with over 90 episodes available immediately, with new installments arriving eight days after their CBS premiere. Viewers can also stream the four most recent episodes anytime on Pluto TV Video On Demand.
A Historic Series
Premiering in February 2025, Beyond the Gates is the first daytime soap opera in more than 20 years and the first since Generations (1989–1991) to center a predominately African-American cast. The series follows the Dupree family, a powerful Black dynasty living in a wealthy, gated Maryland suburb just outside Washington, D.C., where scandal, betrayal, and ambition collide behind manicured hedges and lavish lifestyles.
CBS renewed the drama for a second season in May after it delivered impressive numbers: a 48% jump in broadcast viewership during its time slot and a 67% increase in multiplatform viewing compared to last year. It’s also outperforming ABC’s General Hospital among women 25-54 on broadcast.
The Cast
The cast of Beyond the Gates is anchored by Tamara Tunie as Anita Dupree and Clifton Davis as Vernon Dupree. Daphnée Duplaix stars as Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson, with Karla Mosley as Dani Dupree. Keith D. Robinson portrays Ted Richardson, while Brandon Claybon plays Martin Richardson, Colby Muhammad appears as Katherine “Kat” Richardson, and Sean Freeman takes on the role of Andre Richardson.
