After four seasons, BMF has officially wrapped at Starz.
The Detroit-set crime drama, based on the true story of the Black Mafia Family, ended its run following the Season 4 finale in August. Since its 2021 debut, the series has been one of Starz’s top-performing dramas under Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s G-Unit Film & Television banner.
Created by Randy Huggins, BMF starred Demetrius Flenory Jr. as his father, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, alongside Da’Vinchi, Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Steve Harris, La La Anthony, Sydney Mitchell, Laila D. Pruitt, Myles Truitt, and Eric Kofi-Abrefa. Throughout its four seasons, the series also featured appearances from Snoop Dogg, Wood Harris, Mo’Nique, Eminem, 2 Chainz, and Saweetie — blending hip-hop, street culture, and family legacy into a franchise-defining story.
While Starz has decided to end the flagship series, the BMF universe isn’t closing its doors. Jackson previously revealed that three spinoffs — collectively dubbed BMF Immortal — are in development, each exploring different corners of the story’s expanding world. Rumored concepts include Meech’s journey through the South, Terry’s rise on the West Coast, and a deeper look into law enforcement’s pursuit of the organization. Though Starz has yet to release official titles or dates, sources confirm the projects remain in active development.
Heather Zuhlke served as showrunner and executive producer for Seasons 3 and 4, with Anthony Wilson and Anne Clements also executive producing. Lionsgate Television produced the series.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent’s Power universe continues to thrive. Power Book III: Raising Kanan is prepping its fifth and final season, Power Book IV: Force returns November 7 for its third and final run, and new spinoffs Power: Origins and Power: Legacy are already in motion.
Outside Starz, Jackson is keeping his slate full — executive producing the boxing drama Fightland, developing new projects at Hulu and Peacock, and stepping into the ring himself as Balrog in the upcoming Street Fighter movie.
