The final term is officially beginning for Boarders. The BBC’s critically acclaimed coming-of-age comedy-drama will return for its third and final season on March 15, with all six episodes premiering exclusively on Tubi across North America and Latin America.
Created by BAFTA-nominated writer Daniel Lawrence Taylor, Boarders quickly became a standout with audiences and critics alike. Its first season earned a 100% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, helping establish the series as a sharp, socially aware comedy about class, identity, and belonging within the elite British school system.
The new season returns viewers to St. Gilbert’s, where the scholarship students are entering their final term with graduation and major life decisions looming. But as exams approach and the pressure to succeed intensifies, the group finds themselves navigating fresh chaos on campus—including a shocking school rivalry, complicated love triangles, and friendships pushed to the breaking point.
Returning for the final season are Jodie Campbell (Leah), Sekou Diaby (Toby), Aruna Jalloh (Femi), Myles Kamwendo (Omar), and Josh Tedeku (Jaheim), whose characters have spent the series balancing academic expectations with the realities of navigating an elite institution that wasn’t built with them in mind.
Season three also introduces several new faces to St. Gilbert’s. The incoming cast includes Rufus Jones as George Tramley, the politician father of Cheddar; Patrick Baladi as Carol’s ex Alfie Watlington-Geese; and comedian Fatiha El-Ghorri as rival headmistress Mrs. El-Fassi. Additional new characters include Kenyah Sandy as Leah’s new love interest Benjamin, Daisy Jacob as Pixie, Louis Thresher as Omar’s complicated new friend Jonny, and Nagaieh Dad as Yusef, a disruptive presence who pulls Abby into his orbit.
Behind the scenes, Taylor returns as lead writer alongside Cherish Shirley, Temi Wilkey, Alex Straker, Emma Dennis-Edwards, and Yemi Oyefuwa. The series is produced by Studio Lambert, part of All3Media, with Yero Timi-Biu and Satya Bhabha directing the final season. Ali MacPhail serves as producer with Carleen Beadle-Larcombe as line producer, while Mykaell Riley returns as musical director.
Additional returning cast members include Niky Wardley, Assa Kanouté, Tallulah Grieve, Rosie Graham, Georgina Sadler, Kendra Brown, Zheng Xi Yong, Archie Fisher, Andrew Harmon-Gray, Ruxandra Porojnicu, Maxim Ays, Al Foran, William Andrews, and Yuriri Naka.
The series is produced for the BBC and distributed globally by All3Media International, with Tubi serving as the lead international streaming partner in North America and Latin America.
While the show is concluding with its third season, Boarders leaves behind a strong legacy as a smart and culturally resonant look at class, race, and youth navigating institutions that often challenge their sense of belonging.
Season three premieres March 15 on Tubi, with the first two seasons currently available to stream on the platform.
