CBS Hands Out 10 New Renewals, Locking in Much of Its 2026–27 Lineup

CBS is continuing its early renewal strategy, handing out pickups across much of its schedule while clarifying what’s still in play — and what’s coming next.

The network has now renewed 10 series spanning scripted hits, franchise mainstays, and reality staples, solidifying a large portion of its 2026–27 lineup well ahead of upfronts.

Newly Renewed Series

Matlock (Season 3)
Kathy Bates’ sharp-witted legal drama continues as Madeline “Matty” Matlock outmaneuvers powerful players inside a prestigious law firm.

Elsbeth (Season 4)
Carrie Preston’s unconventional attorney returns, extending The Good Wife universe with character-driven mysteries and high-profile guest stars.

Fire Country (Season 5)
The firefighter drama remains a Friday-night anchor and a key pillar of CBS’ expanding “Country” franchise.

Tracker (Season 4)
Justin Hartley’s reward-seeking survivalist stays on the hunt as the series continues to dominate broadcast ratings.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage (Season 3)
CBS’ top comedy moves forward, extending the Young Sheldon universe with steady audience growth.

NCIS (Season 24)
The flagship procedural continues its historic run.

NCIS: Origins (Season 3)
The prequel explores the early years of Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

NCIS: Sydney (Season 4)

Survivor (Seasons 50 & 51)

New Series Ordered for 2026–27

Cupertino
A Silicon Valley–set drama exploring power, ambition, and ethics in the tech world. The series reunites creators Robert and Michelle King with star Mike Colter.

Einstein
A procedural centered on the brilliant but directionless great-grandson of Albert Einstein, played by Matthew Gray Gubler, who uses his intellect to help solve crimes.


Midseason Additions Still Ahead

CIA
A new entry in the FBI universe following CIA operatives handling global threats. The series stars Tom Ellis and Geoff Stults.

Marshals
A contemporary western following U.S. Marshals operating in the modern American frontier, starring Luke Grimes.


The Big Picture

With renewals locked in early and new series already on deck, CBS is leaning hard into franchise durability, procedural dominance, and long-term audience loyalty as it heads toward the 2026–27 season.
