Prime Video Sets 2026 Premiere for ‘Cross’ Season 2 + Adds Three to Cast [TEASER]

Aldis Hodge returns as the brilliant D.C. detective and forensic psychologist Alex Cross, and this time, the hunt cuts even deeper. Prime Video confirmed that Cross Season 2 will officially premiere February 11, 2026, and dropped the first teaser during the show’s New York Comic Con panel — along with three new cast additions.

Based on James Patterson’s best-selling book series, the hit thriller follows Cross, whose ability to dissect the minds of killers makes him both a gifted investigator and a haunted man.

The Story Continues

Season 2 finds Cross in pursuit of a ruthless vigilante targeting corrupt billionaire magnates. “I’ve never seen anything like this,” warns Special Agent Kayla Craig (Alona Tal) in the new teaser as the case unravels in shocking ways.

The clip teases car chases, gunfights, and a deeper emotional spiral for Cross as he and his partner John Sampson (Isaiah Mustafa) return to the streets of Washington, D.C. to confront a new breed of killer — and maybe even the darkness within themselves.

The Cast

Returning cast members include Alona Tal, Isaiah Mustafa, Samantha Walkes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, and Johnny Ray Gill, joining Aldis Hodge in the title role.

New additions for Season 2 include Matthew Lillard, Jeanine Mason, and Wes Chatham, who were officially announced at New York Comic Con. Creator Ben Watkins even makes a brief appearance in the teaser.

Behind the Series

Developed for television by Ben Watkins, the series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Paramount Television Studios. Watkins continues as showrunner and executive producer alongside Hodge, Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn, J. David Shanks, Aiyana White, Craig Siebels, Owen Shiflett, James Patterson, Bill Robinson, and Patrick Santa.

Watkins previously revealed he’s mapped out a four-year plan for the series: “We want this thing to go for 10 seasons, but in my head, I had already made a four-year plan to mine and pay homage to the characters in the Alex Cross book series.”

Since its debut in 2024, Cross has become one of Prime Video’s biggest originals, drawing over 40 million viewers in its first 20 days and ranking among the streamer’s most-watched series globally.
