Daniel Ezra and Andrea Cortés Latest to Join Joe Robert Cole’s Netflix Adapation of ‘All the Sinners Bleed’

Netflix’s All the Sinners Bleed continues to round out its cast with two new series regulars. All American star Daniel Ezra and Mayans M.C. alum Andrea Cortés have joined the upcoming Southern Gothic thriller, alongside Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Nicole Beharie, and John Douglas Thompson.

We previously reported that Dìrísù leads the adaptation as Titus Crown, the first Black sheriff in a small Bible Belt county haunted by his devout mother’s untimely death and his past with the FBI. When a serial killer begins preying on his Black community in the name of God, Titus must lead the hunt to stop the terror while facing his own demons.

Ezra will play Marquis Crown, Titus’s younger brother, while Cortés takes on the role of Deputy Carla Ortiz, an officer in Titus’s precinct. Beharie stars as Darlene, Titus’s supportive girlfriend, and Thompson portrays Albert Crown, his father.

All the Sinners Bleed is adapted from S.A. Cosby’s bestselling 2023 novel by Joe Robert Cole — the Emmy-nominated co-writer of Marvel’s Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Cole serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer, and will direct the pilot and multiple episodes.

The series is executive produced by Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Productions, Amblin Television, and Cosby himself.

Ezra is best known for his breakout role as Spencer James in The CW’s All American and will next appear opposite Glen Powell in Edgar Wright’s The Running Man, set to hit theaters next month.

Cortés most recently appeared as Victoria Hernandez in Prime Video’s Bosch: Legacy and starred as Sofia in FX’s Mayans M.C. Her other credits include The Company You Keep, On My Block, and Netflix’s horror feature The Old Ways.
