So much for all that “two and out” talk—Marvel has confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again will return for a third season on Disney+.
Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ head of streaming, television and animation, broke the news to IGN, revealing that production is slated to begin in early 2026. The renewal makes Born Again the first live-action Marvel series on Disney+ to go beyond two seasons—a milestone for Marvel TV’s evolving slate.
This update settles the back-and-forth between stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. Cox, who plays Matt Murdock, had previously suggested at a fan convention that Season 2 would be the end. But D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk/Kingpin) quickly corrected that impression, telling followers online there was a “good chance” of a third round.
The first season, which debuted March 4, 2025, became the platform’s best series launch of the year with 7.5 million viewers in its first five days. Critics and audiences praised the darker tone and emotional weight, with Rotten Tomatoes currently holding the show at an 87% approval rating.
Season 2 is already scheduled to premiere in March 2026, bringing back Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones and continuing Jon Bernthal’s arc as Frank Castle/The Punisher. Bernthal will also headline a special one-off Punisher TV event, co-written with director Reinaldo Marcus Green.
Alongside Cox and D’Onofrio, the Born Again cast includes Margarita Levieva, Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, Ayelet Zurer, Deborah Ann Woll, and Elden Henson.
Dario Scardapane (The Punisher) serves as showrunner and executive producer, with episodes helmed by Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Sana Amanat, Chris Gary, Christopher Ord & Matthew Corman also executive produce.
