Production has officially wrapped on Lucy Schulman, the debut feature from writer-director Ellie Sachs. The indie romantic comedy, shot in New York City, features an ensemble cast that includes David Cross (Arrested Development), Thomas Mann (Sovereign), Sandrine Holt (Your Friends & Neighbors), Eisa Davis (Mare of Easttown), Annabelle Attanasio (Bull), and Hasan Minhaj (It Ends with Us).
While plot details for Lucy Schulman remain under wraps, the film marks a major milestone for Sachs, who previously created the web series Ad World, sold her short Proof of Concept to The New Yorker, and developed pilots for networks including FX.
Cross, who also serves as an executive producer, is joined by producers Fernando Loureiro (Frances Ha) and Guilherme Coelho (Oceânico) via their Tigresa banner, along with Morwin Schmookler (The Apprentice). Additional executive producers include Gabriel Faria do Amaral, Jay Burnley, Will Day Frank, Sam Evoy, Will Janowitz, Carissa Knol, Clay Prietsch, Zachary Rice, Kelly Schwartz, Sascha Seinfeld, and Chelsea Tieu.
UTA Independent Film Group is handling worldwide sales rights.
