Emmy Raver-Lampman Returns for ‘The Beekeeper 2’

Emmy Raver-Lampman is set to return as FBI Agent Verona Parker in The Beekeeper 2, the sequel to last year’s box office hit. She’s not coming back alone—Bobby Naderi will reprise his role as Agent Matt Wiley, while Jemma Redgrave steps back into the Oval Office as President Jessica Danforth. Jason Statham once again leads the action as Adam Clay, the former government assassin known only as the “Beekeeper.”

Jeremy Irons also returns, and Yara Shahidi joins the franchise as a new addition to the cast.

The Buzz Around the Original

The first film, directed by David Ayer (Suicide Squad, End of Watch), was a surprise success in 2024, raking in $162 million worldwide. It followed Adam Clay (Statham), a retired government assassin from the mysterious “Beekeeper” program, who launches a relentless quest for justice after a personal tragedy. Along the way, Raver-Lampman’s Parker and Naderi’s Wiley trailed his every move, while Redgrave’s President Danforth—also the mother of Josh Hutcherson’s villainous Derek Danforth—became entangled in the conspiracy.

The mix of high-octane action, government intrigue, and raw vengeance struck a chord with audiences, helping establish The Beekeeper as one of Miramax’s strongest recent titles.

What to Expect in the Sequel

Now in production, The Beekeeper 2 is directed by Timo Tjahjanto (Nobody 2) and written by Kurt Wimmer, who also scripted the original. The sequel is produced by Statham through Punch Palace Productions, alongside Chris Long (Longshot Productions) and Wimmer, with Amazon MGM Studios handling worldwide distribution.

Plot details remain under wraps, but with Shahidi joining the franchise and familiar faces returning, the hive is clearly growing bigger—and deadlier.
