Veteran producer Ty Walker, along with his team at Braveheart Entertainment and executive producer Keisha Perry Walker of Wild Peach Studios, has announced an exclusive partnership with Fanbase, the creator-driven social media platform founded by Isaac Hayes III, to develop and distribute a new slate of original microdramas launching in Q1 2026.
A New Home for Microdramas
Microdramas — short-form scripted series engineered for mobile audiences — have quickly become one of the fastest-rising storytelling formats worldwide. With global platforms already investing heavily in bite-sized scripted content, Fanbase is positioning itself as a major U.S. hub for the genre.
Under this partnership, Walker, Hayes, and Perry Walker are collaborating to champion multicultural creatives and narratives, giving emerging storytellers a direct path to monetize their work through Fanbase’s subscription, virtual currency, and community-driven tools.
The deal also establishes a dedicated development and distribution pipeline for additional multicultural production companies and indie creators to bring their microdramas to Fanbase.
A Timely Boost for Creatives
As Hollywood continues to grapple with industry slowdowns and shifting economics, microdramas present an agile, fast-moving lane for actors, writers, directors, and crew to return to work.
“This partnership with Fanbase lets us introduce a new kind of storytelling that delivers maximum emotion in minimal time,” said TY Walker, executive producer. “We are excited to push creative boundaries and spotlight compelling voices in this evolving space.”
Hayes echoed the momentum already happening inside the app.
“The microdrama genre is scaling fast, and Fanbase is the perfect home,” said Isaac Hayes III, Founder and CEO. “Fanbase already supports short-form video, robust creator tools, and subscriptions, which are key components of this format. Development is already underway inside the app, and we are excited to partner with TY at Braveheart Entertainment and Keisha of Wild Peach.”
What to Expect From the Slate
The upcoming lineup — still under wraps — is expected to span genres and focus heavily on character-driven, culturally grounded stories. Backers have not yet been disclosed, but the initiative marks one of Fanbase’s most ambitious expansions into premium original content.
For Walker, whose credits include Imperium and Kevin Hart’s hit short-form franchise Die Hart, the partnership pushes the boundaries of where mobile-first storytelling can go next.
