Shark Tank is shaking up its waters for Season 17 with a fresh wave of guest Sharks, and the lineup is nothing short of powerhouse.

ABC has tapped an all-star group of entrepreneurs and business leaders to join the tank, including Fawn Weaver, founder and CEO of Uncle Nearest Inc. and newly inducted Honorary Member of Delta Sigma Theta; Good Morning America co-anchor and SMAC co-founder Michael Strahan; and venture capitalist and Atlanta Falcons limited partner Rashaun Williams.  Williams is the only of the three who has appeared as a Shark before.

All three will serve as guest Sharks in the upcoming season. They’ll be joined by additional guest Sharks:

  • Allison Ellsworth, founder and chief brand officer of poppi
  • Chip and Joanna Gaines, co-founders of Magnolia
  • Alexis Ohanian, Reddit co-founder and venture capitalist behind Seven Seven Six
  • Kendra Scott, jewelry mogul and founder of her eponymous brand

Kendra Scott also returns after appearing as guest Sharks in Season 16. This season marks the Shark Tank debut for the rest of the new guests.

They’ll all appear alongside the returning full-time Sharks: Daymond John, Barbara Corcoran, Robert Herjavec, Lori Greiner, Kevin O’Leary, and Daniel Lubetzky. Notably absent from the panel this season is longtime Shark Mark Cuban, who exited the show following the Season 16 finale after 14 seasons.

Season 17 will bring more than just new faces. ABC is shifting Shark Tank from its longtime Friday night home to a new Wednesday night timeslot, airing at 10/9c this fall. It will now close out a night of comedy and reality that includes Shifting Gears Season 2, Abbott Elementary Season 5, and The Golden Bachelor Season 2.

Produced by MGM Television (a division of Amazon MGM Studios) and Sony Pictures Television, Shark Tank remains a primetime staple for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to strike a deal with some of the most successful investors in the world. The Emmy-winning series continues to give everyday Americans a shot at turning their big ideas into million-dollar ventures—with or without a Shark on board.

Executive producers for the season include Mark Burnett, Clay Newbill, Yun Lingner, Max Swedlow, Brandon Wallace, and several of the Sharks themselves: Corcoran, Greiner, Herjavec, John, and O’Leary.

No premiere date has been announced yet, but the new season is locked in for ABC’s fall 2025 schedule.
