‘Gen V’ Season 2 Trailer Reveals New Dean, Deeper Lore, and The Boys Cameos Ahead of September Premiere

Godolkin University is reopening its bloody gates for a new semester, and Prime Video just dropped a full trailer for Gen V Season 2 at San Diego Comic-Con 2025—alongside major casting news and a premiere date. The hit Boys spinoff will debut its first three episodes on September 17, continuing the twisted story of young supes navigating a world shaped by Homelander’s reign.

The new trailer confirms that Jaz Sinclair’s Marie Moreau returns to campus with fellow survivors Jordan Li (London Thor and Derek Luh) and Emma Meyer (Lizze Broadway)—but Godolkin isn’t what it used to be. With Dean Cipher (played by Hamish Linklater) now in charge, the school is promising a controversial new curriculum designed to make students more powerful than ever.

A standout addition to the cast is Ethan Slater, who joins as Thomas Godolkin, the school’s mysterious founder whose past ties into a secret program buried deep in the university’s legacy. That program—and its connection to Marie—becomes central to the upcoming season’s escalating stakes.

The trailer also teases impactful crossovers from The Boys universe. Fan-favorite supes Starlight (Erin Moriarty), The Deep (Chace Crawford), and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell) are set to appear. The presence of these familiar faces hints at a more integrated narrative across both shows, as Gen V helps set up the final season of The Boys.

Returning characters Cate (Maddie Phillips) and Sam (Asa Germann) are now hailed as heroes, while others wrestle with trauma, shifting alliances, and rising tensions between humans and supes. The late Chance Perdomo, who portrayed Andre Anderson, will be honored through an off-screen storyline reflecting the actor’s untimely passing.

Also joining Season 2 in an expanded role is Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity, now a series regular. Behind the scenes, showrunner Michele Fazekas continues to lead the creative team, with executive producers including The Boys creator Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and others.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, the series continues to build its violent, satirical universe. With lore expansion, new characters, and high-stakes conflict, Gen V Season 2 is poised to be one of Prime Video’s biggest genre hits this year.

Gen V Season 2 premieres September 17 exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
