Giancarlo Esposito, Donald Elise Watkins & Cranston Johnson Join Netflix’s Adaptation of S.A. Cosby’s All the Sinners Bleed

Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of S.A. Cosby’s bestselling thriller All the Sinners Bleed just leveled up as nearly a dozen recurring cast members have joined the series, including Giancarlo Esposito, Donald Elise Watkins, and Cranston Johnson.

The official logline promises a tense, character-driven hunt:
“Haunted by his devout mother’s untimely death, the first Black Sheriff in a small Bible Belt county must lead the hunt for a serial killer that has been preying on his Black community for years in the name of God.”

Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù leads the drama as Titus Crown, the first Black sheriff of a small Bible Belt county still scarred by his mother’s sudden death. A former FBI agent trying to outrun his past, Titus is forced into a nightmare when a serial killer begins targeting his Black community in the name of God.

  • Mackenzie Astin as Deputy Pip Collins

  • Cullen Moss as Deputy Roger Simmons
  • Angus O’Brien as Deputy Davy Burks
  • Christopher Matthew Cook as Royce Lazare
  • Christopher Thornton as Dispatcher Cam Trowder
  • Bill Oberst Jr. as Pastor Elias Hillington

They join previously announced cast members John Douglas Thompson as Albert Crown, Nicole Beharie as Darlene, Daniel Ezra as Marquis Crown, Andrea Cortés as Deputy Carla Ortiz, Murray Bartlett, and Leila George.

The series comes from Joe Robert Cole — the Emmy-nominated co-writer behind Black Panther and Wakanda Forever. Cole is adapting the novel, serving as showrunner and executive producer, and will direct the pilot along with multiple episodes. Higher Ground Productions (Barack and Michelle Obama), Amblin Television, and Cosby himself also executive produce.

Production is currently underway in Atlanta.
