‘GOAT’ Adds Jennifer Hudson, Aaron Pierre, Ayesha Curry, and More to Voice Cast

Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming sports-themed animated film GOAT is continuing to build momentum—and star power. The studio has added an impressive slate of new voice talent to the project, including Jennifer Hudson, Aaron Pierre, Jelly Roll, Ayesha Curry, Andrew Santino, Bobby Lee, Sherry Cola, and Eduardo Franco, sources confirm exclusively.

They join the previously announced cast of Stephen Curry, Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, Nick Kroll, Nicola Coughlan, David Harbour, Jenifer Lewis, and Patton Oswalt in what is shaping up to be a high-energy, all-star ensemble.

Directed by Tyree Dillihay (Bob’s Burgers) and co-directed by Adam Rosette (Orion and the Dark), GOAT is an original animated action-comedy set in a vibrant, all-animal world. The story centers on Will, a small goat with big dreams who gets the opportunity of a lifetime to join the pros and play roarball—a co-ed, full-contact, high-speed sport dominated by the fiercest and fastest animals in the game.

Will’s teammates are skeptical of the underdog goat’s place on the roster, but Will is determined to prove that heart, hustle, and determination matter more than size. As the film’s tagline boldly suggests: “Smalls can ball.”

New Talent, Bigger Ambitions

“With GOAT, we’re telling a story full of humor, action, and heart—the kind we love creating at Unanimous,” said Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton, who are producing the film under their Unanimous Media banner. “We’re thrilled to keep building an incredible roster of talent that brings the characters of GOAT to life. It’s a high-energy, laugh-out-loud adventure filled with heart, and we hope audiences will see themselves in these characters. And the best part? We’re just getting started.”

Dillihay and Rosette echoed the excitement, calling the ensemble “a symphony” of talent: “Directing voice actors for animation is like conducting musicians in an orchestra, and GOAT is the symphony. We are extremely blessed to be directing this incredible cast bringing charisma, creativity, and comedy to our love letter to the underdog.”
