Gregory Alan Williams Joins ABC’s 9-1-1: Nashville

Gregory Alan Williams has signed on to recur in ABC’s upcoming 9-1-1 spinoff 9-1-1: Nashville, premiering October 9.

Williams joins the previously announced ensemble cast led by Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, LeAnn Rimes, Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz, and Hunter McVey. New additions also include MacKenzie Porter (Hell on Wheels) and Tim Matheson (Virgin River) in recurring roles.

Described as a blend of heroics, family drama, and the glamour of one of America’s most dynamic cities, 9-1-1: Nashville follows the lives of first responders and the personal entanglements that come with their high-stakes world.

In the high-octane procedural, Williams will play Harold Foster, a fire station chief. Porter will appear as Samantha Hart, an ER doctor at a Nashville hospital, while Matheson will portray Edward — old Southern money and utterly ruthless.

The series comes from 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television, with Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani serving as executive producers and writers. Chris O’Donnell, Brad Buecker, Brad Falchuk, Angela Bassett, and Chad Lowe also executive produce, with Raisani as showrunner.

9-1-1: Nashville premieres Thursday, October 9 at 9/8c on ABC, airing between the 9-1-1 Season 9 premiere and Grey’s Anatomy Season 22 premiere.
