Hulu Renews Ryan Murphy’s Legal Drama ‘All’s Fair’ for Season 2

Hulu has delivered its verdict on All’s Fair — and the legal dramedy is officially returning for Season 2.

The Ryan Murphy–created series debuted on november 4 and instantly became a cultural talking piece, blending camp, chaos, and couture into a divorce-lawyer saga anchored by Kim Kardashian. Critics were ruthless — Variety called it a “condescending take on girlboss fantasia” — but the audience response told a different story.

Within its first three days, All’s Fair racked up 3.2 million global views, landing Hulu’s biggest scripted original series premiere in three years. The show shot to No. 1 on the streamer’s viewership chart and has remained one of Hulu’s strongest performers throughout its rollout.

Despite a 3% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, viewers have been far more forgiving. The series currently sits at 66% audience approval on Rotten Tomatoes and made Luminate’s Top 15 TV shows during its debut week, pulling in 2.61 million hours viewed domestically.

What Is ‘All’s Fair’?

The series stars Kardashian as Allura Grant, a high-powered L.A. divorce attorney who breaks away from her old firm to launch an all-women practice with Liberty Ronson (Naomi Watts) and Emerald Greene (Niecy Nash-Betts). Joining them is Milan (Teyana Taylor), who is also entangled with Allura’s NFL husband, and Dina Standish (Glenn Close), the industry power player backing their bold new venture.

Their work — and their lives — are anything but quiet. High-stakes breakups, courtroom showdowns, scandalous secrets, and ego-driven rivalries keep the drama high, all punctuated by gloriously unhinged dialogue. (Sarah Paulson’s “See you in court, cuntburger” is already immortal.)

The cast also includes Matthew Noszka, Judith Light, O-T Fagbenle, Armani Barrett, Ed O’Neill, Hari Nef, and a long list of guest stars including Jennifer Jason Leigh, Brooke Shields, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, and Jessica Simpson.

A Scandalous Hit Born From a Hollywood Dinner

The project originated after Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Dana Walden introduced Murphy to Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian. Murphy initially arrived with a reality show pitch — which Jenner swiftly declined — but the meeting sparked a new partnership. Murphy later cast Kardashian in American Horror Story Season 12, which ultimately paved the way for All’s Fair.

Kardashian has embraced the backlash with humor, joking online: “Have you tuned in to the most critically acclaimed show of the year!?!” Glenn Close even joined in with a parody nod to her Fatal Attraction days.

Season 2 Is on the Way

With ratings outweighing reviews, Hulu locked in a second season ahead of the December 9 season finale. Murphy, Kardashian, Close, Watts, Nash-Betts, Paulson, and Kris Jenner all return as executive producers, alongside Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Jamie Pachino, Lyn Greene, Richard Levine, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, Nissa Diederich, and director Anthony Hemingway.
