The upcoming psychological thriller Artisan has added J. Alphonse Nicholson (P-Valley), Myles Bullock (Friday Night: The Million Dollar Heist), and Bechir Sylvain (Jurassic Park: Rebirth) to its ensemble. The film comes from Emmy-nominated director Joslyn Rose and is currently in production at California’s historic Claremont Hotel.
At its core, Artisan dives into the world of a gifted but troubled chef, using the pressure-cooker environment of a fine-dining kitchen to explore themes of mental health, trauma, and self-identity.

Simone Leanora (Jurassic Park: Rebirth), Margo Hall (Blindspotting), and Donald E. Lacy (Colorstruck) round out the cast.
The story originates from NFL veteran turned filmmaker Vernon Davis (The Ritual Killer). Rose co-wrote the screenplay with Dominique Mouton (The Lower Bottoms), before it was adapted for the screen by playwright and author Howard L. Craft (Freight).

Davis is producing through his Reel 85 Productions label, alongside Mouton’s Dido Belle Productions, Rose, Leanora, and Christina Quin. Nicholson, Davis, and Henry Penzi are serving as executive producers.
