Can love survive when the past comes knocking? That’s the central question in Jahmar Hill’s upcoming holiday drama First Christmas Home, which just dropped its first teaser trailer.
Written, directed, and produced by Hill, the project brings together a talented ensemble cast including Jamaal Lewis, LaToya Ward, Christina Cooper, De’Aundre Bonds, Lucretia Jones, and Hill himself.
The story follows Malcom, who after serving time in prison, is working to rebuild his life at his family’s coffee shop. Along the way, he meets Regina, a dedicated police officer, and the two quickly fall for each other. But when Regina joins Malcom’s family for Christmas dinner, his past resurfaces, putting their relationship to the ultimate test and forcing her to choose between duty and love.
Hill shared his inspiration behind the film, noting:
“This film captures the spirit of home and the importance of forgiveness, love, and togetherness. It’s the kind of holiday story that will resonate with families.”
First Christmas Home is executive produced by Enrg Entertainment, Hudrell Jones, Clearwater Productions, LaToya Ward of Toy Vision Entertainment, Stephney Riley Entertainment, Jahmar Hill of Jahmar Hill Productions, Michelle Brooks of BMG Casting, and Monica Brown. The producing team includes Hill, Jamaal Lewis, and De’Aundre Bonds.
With production wrapped, early stills and behind-the-scenes footage point to a visually warm and emotionally rich story that blends themes of romance, redemption, and family — all set against the backdrop of the holiday season.
