Jesse Williams has officially joined the upcoming fifth season of the Apple TV+ drama, stepping into the role of Vernon, UBN’s newly appointed Head of News. Williams joins a returning ensemble that includes Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Karen Pittman, Nicole Beharie, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, and Jon Hamm, alongside recently announced addition Jeff Daniels.

Outside of The Morning Show, Williams continues to balance acting with producing, most recently working on socially driven projects like the documentary Hoops, Hopes and Dreams and short-lived Prime Video series Costiera. He’s also known for his long-running role as Dr. Jackson Avery on Grey’s Anatomy and his acclaimed stage work in Take Me Out.
