Jon Michael Hill has joined the cast of the upcoming Apple TV+ series Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, a half-hour dark comedy thriller from creator and showrunner David J. Rosen (Sugar, Hunters).
Hill will portray Detective Baxter in the series, which follows Paula (Tatiana Maslany), a newly divorced mom who spirals into a chaotic mix of blackmail, murder, and youth soccer.
The project also stars Jake Johnson, Dolly De Leon, Charlie Hall, and Kiarra Hamagami. Rounding out the ensemble cast are Jessy Hodges (A Man in Full, Elementary) as Mallory, Paula’s ex-husband’s new wife and a sharp lawyer, and Nola Wallace (The Strangers: Chapter 2 and 3) as Hazel, Paula and Karl’s (Johnson) daughter.
Directed and executive produced by David Gordon Green (Halloween, Mythic Quest), the series hails from Apple Studios and Counterpart Studios. It was developed by Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon, who executive produce for Genre Films under their first-look deal with Apple TV+, along with Bard Dorros for Anonymous Content.
