Production has wrapped on Dubbels, a supernatural horror-comedy shot in the scenic Catskill Mountains of New York. The ensemble cast features Dean Norris (Breaking Bad, Claws), Jessica Garza (The Purge, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels), Marié Botha (The Penguin), Zak Corrigan (Junction), Jordan Mann, Steele Whitney, and Jonathan Cruz.
Writer-director Paul Marashlian makes his feature debut with Dubbels following his short Merry Christmas, based on a John Cheever story. The film centers on an environmental engineering firm led by Pete (Corrigan), tasked with evaluating an abandoned ski resort built atop mountain springs. The mysterious landowner (Norris) and his enchanting daughter (Botha) pressure the team to bend to their will, unaware that the springs are cursed. Meanwhile, Pete’s clairvoyant wife Gwen (Garza) undertakes a heroic journey to save her husband and the team, including Jonathan Cruz, Jordan Mann, and Steele Whitney.
Produced by John Shepphird and Andy Clark, the film features cinematography by Neal Brown, casting by Daryl Eisenberg, CSA, special FX makeup by Beatrice Sniper, and stunt coordination by Manny Siverio. Completion and festival plans are slated for spring 2026, with legal oversight from Kaye & Mills.
