Jonathan Majors has officially begun production on a new untitled action film from The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend, with cameras rolling this week in South Carolina.
The film is directed and written by Kyle Rankin (Run Hide Fight), though plot details, character information, and additional casting remain under wraps for now. Early descriptions suggest the project draws inspiration from classic ensemble-driven action films in the spirit of Red Dawn and Toy Soldiers, stories centered on unlikely groups forced to unite against overwhelming threats.
Producers include Ben Shapiro for The Daily Wire and Dallas Sonnier for Bonfire Legend, alongside Travis Mills, Lillian Campbell, and Sydney Aucreman. Majors also serves as an executive producer through his Tall Street Productions banner.
Part of a Growing Slate
The untitled feature becomes the third project currently in the works for Majors as he continues expanding his upcoming slate.
The actor is also attached to star in the supernatural revenge thriller Merciless, directed by Martin Villeneuve, as well as the Harlem-set action thriller True Threat, from director Gerard McMurray.
Preparation for True Threat has already been underway, with Majors recently training in 52 Blocks, a historically rooted Black American martial arts discipline that will play a central role in the film’s action design.
With filming officially underway on this newest action feature, Majors’ next chapter is less about announcement and more about execution — returning to set, building new collaborations, and continuing the work onscreen.
