The breakout comedy experiment returns — but this time, the chaos leaves the courtroom behind.
Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer and premiere date for Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, the follow-up to the Emmy-nominated breakout series Jury Duty, with James Marsden returning as part of the elaborate new social experiment.
The new installment premieres March 20 on Prime Video, launching with three episodes. Two additional episodes will debut March 27, followed by a three-episode finale on April 3.
A New Setting, Same Elaborate Setup
While the first season centered on a fake courtroom trial, Company Retreat shifts the concept to a corporate getaway.
The series follows Anthony, a newly hired temp employee attending what he believes is a routine company retreat at Rockin’ Grandma’s for a family-owned hot sauce business. What he doesn’t know is that the entire experience has been carefully staged.
Every coworker around him is an actor.
Every interaction is planned.
And every awkward team-building moment is part of a larger production unfolding in real time.
As tensions rise surrounding a potential corporate takeover, Anthony unknowingly becomes the center of a workplace battle between small-business loyalty and big corporate ambition — leaning into the season’s David-versus-Goliath theme.
Meet the Company Retreat Ensemble
The new season introduces a fresh ensemble cast tasked with maintaining the illusion throughout the retreat, including:
LaNisa Renee Frederick, Marc-Sully Saint-Fleur, Warren Burke, Alex Bonifer, Blair Beeken, Emily Pendergast, Erica Hernandez, Jerry Hauck, Jim A. Woods, Rachel Kaly, Rob Lathan, Ryan Perez, Stephanie Hodge, and Wendy Braun.
Behind the scenes, executive producers include David Bernad, Todd Schulman, Nicholas Hatton, Anthony King, Chris Kula, and Marsden alongside the series creators.
From Surprise Hit to Franchise Expansion
Created by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, Jury Duty first premiered in 2023 on Amazon Freevee and quickly became one of the platform’s most talked-about originals.
The series earned multiple Emmy nominations, including recognition for Marsden’s performance, before finding a new home on Prime Video following Freevee’s shutdown.
Director Jake Szymanski returns to helm the new season.
Watch the Trailer
The newly released trailer teases escalating workplace absurdity, uncomfortable bonding exercises, and the unpredictable comedy that made the original series a word-of-mouth hit — proving the experiment still works when the setting changes.
With its mix of improv comedy, reality-style storytelling, and carefully controlled chaos, Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat looks poised to recreate the lightning-in-a-bottle success of its first outing — just far away from the courthouse.
