Keke Palmer Moves Into Peacock’s ‘The ‘Burbs’ — First Trailer & Premiere Date Are Here

Peacock has officially unveiled the first trailer for its reboot of the 1989 cult classic The ‘Burbs, and Keke Palmer is leading the charge. The eight-episode mystery-comedy series is set to drop all episodes on Sunday, February 8, giving viewers a full binge-ready reboot of the suburban tale everyone remembers.

Set in present-day suburbia, The ‘Burbs follows a young couple, Samira (Palmer) and Rob (Jack Whitehall), who reluctantly relocate to the husband’s childhood home. Things get chaotic when a new neighbor moves in across the street, uncovering old secrets and sparking a chain of darkly funny and dangerous events. Basically, the quiet cul-de-sac life is officially over.

The cast brings all the comedy and suspense you could hope for. Alongside Palmer and Whitehall, Julia Duffy (Lynn), Paula Pell (Dana), Mark Proksch (Tod), and Kapil Talwalkar (Naveen) round out the main neighbors. Recurring appearances from Kyrie McAlpin, RJ Cyler, Justin Kirk, Haley Joel Osment, Randy Oglesby, Danielle Kennedy, Max Carver, Erica Dasher, Georgia Leva, and Kathleen Kenny promise even more twists, laughs, and dramatic stares from behind the curtains.

Behind the scenes, the series is led by Celeste Hughey, who created, wrote, and executive produced the show alongside Rachel Shukert. Palmer herself is also an executive producer, joined by Seth MacFarlane, Brian Grazer, and Nzingha Stewart, who directs and executive produces. The project comes from Universal Studio Group’s UCP in partnership with Fuzzy Door and Imagine Entertainment.

Whether you’re a fan of the original or new to the story, Peacock’s The ‘Burbs promises the perfect mix of laughs, suspense, and suburban chaos. Check out the trailer and mark your calendars—February 8 is officially the day your weekend plans get a little more… unpredictable.
