TikTok sensation Kelon Campbell, known for his viral Southern Belle parody character Terri Joe, is making his feature film debut with the Tubi Original comedy Terri Joe: Missionary in Miami. The film premieres exclusively on Tubi on January 30.

In the film, Terri Joe leaves her small hometown behind to explore the sun-soaked streets of Miami, navigating a series of comedic misadventures while trying to find a new church and atone for her past mistakes. According to the official logline, “In this wild farce, Southern Belle Terri Joe ventures to Miami to outrun wacky criminals and find a new church where she can atone for her sins.”

Terri Joe: Missionary in Miami is part of Tubi’s Stubios initiative, which identifies online creators capable of translating their digital followings into original content for the streaming platform. Campbell was among 14 finalists to earn the title of “Stubiorunner,” giving him executive control over the production of his own film. The program previously featured mentorship from Issa Rae, emphasizing creator-driven storytelling that resonates with Tubi audiences.

Campbell’s Terri Joe has already amassed over 3.3 million followers on TikTok, where the character’s over-the-top antics and satirical take on Southern conservatism made her an instant viral hit. The film expands on the TikTok skits, offering fans a full-length story where Terri Joe confronts a world much bigger—and wilder—than her small-town upbringing.

A first-look teaser has been released, giving audiences a glimpse of the chaos and comedy that awaits.
