Kerry Washington’s New Audible Drama “Between Me and You” Stars Jurnee Smollett, Stephanie Hsu & Jack Falahee

Jurnee Smollett, Jack Falahee, and Stephanie Hsu are set to lead Between Me and You, a new scripted audio drama from Kerry Washington’s Simpson Street, premiering April 16 exclusively on Audible.

The eight-episode Audible Original is based on Allison Winn Scotch’s novel of the same name, with Scotch co-writing the adaptation alongside Pete Chiarelli. The series centers on a rising actress and a once-promising screenwriter whose marriage begins to unravel under the weight of ambition, jealousy, and betrayal.

The cast also includes Ugo Chukwu, Kalyne Coleman, Tyla Collier, Susannah Flood, Russell G. Jones, Zachary Keller, and Caroline Neff.

Directed by Logan Vaughn, the project is produced by Audible and Simpson Street as part of the companies’ ongoing multi-project deal first inked in 2022. That partnership previously delivered The Prophecy, a Bible-inspired supernatural drama starring Washington.

In a joint statement, Washington and Simpson Street co-founder Pilar Savone described the series as “a story about the messy, beautiful reality of love — how ambition, mistakes and forgiveness shape the relationships we hold most dear,” adding that the goal was to create something “raw, heartfelt and ultimately hopeful.”

Simpson Street continues to build a slate centered on underrepresented voices, with past projects including American Son, Little Fires Everywhere, and Daughters.
