Lady London Talks Always, Lady London, Creative Ownership, and Balancing Business With Artistry [INTERVIEW]

Lady London’s story has always been one of discipline, duality, and determination — qualities that shine throughout her new three-part docuseries Always, Lady London, premiering on Tubi, Oct 10. Produced by MACRO Television Studios and directed by Erika Bryant, the series follows the rapper and poet as she records her debut album To Whom It May Concern, navigates self-doubt, and continues to build her career brick by brick, from viral poetry to verified artistry.

In this BLEXclusive interview the NY and Jersey-bred lyricist and Howard University alum opens up about her creative process, business mindset, and how education and intention have shaped her path. “You don’t need permission,” she says. “You have autonomy over your own life and legacy.”

In the full conversation below, Lady London shares how she balances privacy with vulnerability, why she believes in long-term brand integrity, and what it truly means to create without waiting for validation.
