Laura Harrier is set to star in the psychological thriller The Technique, which will launch for international sales at next week’s European Film Market through Luminosity Pictures.
The film follows five actors who enroll in an intense, weeklong workshop led by a legendary but deeply enigmatic teacher. While the instructor’s former students have gone on to rare artistic and professional success, the method behind that success remains secretive—raising unsettling questions about control, ambition, and the cost of creative obsession.
As previously reported, the ensemble cast includes Kelsey Asbille, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Ben Platt, Emma Roberts, Harrier, and Noomi Rapace.
Currently in post-production, The Technique marks the feature directorial debut of Brian McGreevy, who also wrote the screenplay. McGreevy is best known as the creator and executive producer of the Pierce Brosnan-led series The Son and as a writer on Netflix’s Hemlock Grove, adapted from his novel.
Producing the film are Miles Skinner for Hypothesis and Andrea Bucko for Raised By Wolves, alongside Jordan Drake, David Duque-Estrada, and Chadd Harbold.
