Apple TV+ has officially set a premiere date for Lucky, the new limited drama starring and executive produced by Golden Globe and SAG Award winner Anya Taylor-Joy. The seven-episode series will debut globally on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, with its first two episodes, followed by new installments every Wednesday through August 19.
The series was unveiled during the 2026 Apple TV Press Day, where the cast and creatives shared a first look and teaser for the highly anticipated drama.
Based on the New York Times bestselling novel by Marissa Stapley, Lucky follows a con artist whose carefully constructed life begins to unravel after a high-stakes heist goes wrong. When the multi-million-dollar job collapses, Lucky (Taylor-Joy) is forced into hiding — pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss. On the run and out of options, she must fight for survival while searching for a way out of the chaos she helped create.
The ensemble cast includes Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, Drew Starkey, Clifton Collins Jr., and William Fichtner.
The series hails from Apple Studios and is created, written, and executive produced by Jonathan Tropper under his Tropper Ink banner as part of his overall deal with Apple TV+. Tropper serves as co-showrunner alongside executive producer Cassie Pappas.
The project also comes from Hello Sunshine, with Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter executive producing. Taylor-Joy executive produces through her LadyKiller banner, and pilot director Jonathan van Tulleken also serves as executive producer.
Hello Sunshine continues its strong partnership with Apple TV+, which includes series like The Morning Show, The Last Thing He Told Me, Truth Be Told, and Surface.
With a stacked cast, a bestselling source novel, and a creative team that understands character-driven tension, Lucky is shaping up to be one of Apple TV+’s major summer releases.
‘Lucky’ premieres July 15, 2026, on Apple TV+.
