Mubi has released the official trailer for Die My Love, Lynne Ramsay’s highly anticipated psychological thriller that stars Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson. The film hits theaters on November 7, 2025, following its acclaimed debut at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
The film follows Grace and Jackson (Lawrence and Pattinson), a hopeful young couple who trade New York City life for an inherited home in the country. There, Grace—an aspiring writer and new mother—tries to find her footing in an isolated landscape. As her mental state begins to fracture, she doesn’t crumble; instead, she discovers an untamed vitality that pushes the boundaries of imagination, identity, and love.
Joining Lawrence and Pattinson are LaKeith Stanfield as Karl, a motorcyclist drawn into Grace’s orbit, along with Sissy Spacek and Nick Nolte. Based on Ariana Harwicz’s novel of the same name, Die My Love is co-written by Ramsay, Alice Birch (Normal People), and Enda Walsh (Hunger). The darkly comic and emotionally raw adaptation explores the messiness of motherhood, isolation, and creativity with a distinctive Ramsay edge—equal parts poetic and piercing.
The newly released trailer teases escalating tension between Grace and Jackson, mixing striking imagery with unsettling humor. In one shot, Grace wanders through an open field, shotgun in hand, laughing maniacally. Later, the tone turns sharper—a knife glints, a storm brews, and the domestic calm unravels.
Set to a haunting rhythm, the trailer captures Ramsay’s signature visual style—dreamlike yet visceral. What begins as a portrait of domestic bliss transforms into a raw, psychological descent underscored by humor and chaos.
The film was produced by Andrea Calderwood, Justine Ciarrocchi, Thad Luckinbill, Trent Luckinbill, Martin Scorsese, Molly Smith, and Jennifer Lawrence under her Excellent Cadaver banner. Mubi acquired the film for $24 million after its Cannes premiere, marking one of the festival’s biggest deals.
