Sony Music has officially revealed the soundtrack for the film, titled Michael: Songs From the Motion Picture, a 13-track collection that spans Jackson’s earliest success with The Jackson 5 through some of the biggest hits of his solo career.

The companion album will arrive April 24 — the same day Michael hits theaters.

The soundtrack offers a snapshot of the different eras that shaped Jackson’s career. It begins with songs from his childhood rise as the lead singer of The Jackson 5 before shifting into the records that cemented him as one of the most influential entertainers in music history.

Early hits representing Jackson’s Motown era include:

The album also includes a live medley performed as The Jacksons:

  • “I Want You Back / ABC / The Love You Save (Live)” — The Jacksons
  • “Ben (Live)” — The Jacksons

The soundtrack then transitions into Jackson’s groundbreaking solo run, highlighting songs from albums like Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad. Those tracks include:

  • “Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough” — Michael Jackson
  • “Beat It” — Michael Jackson
  • “Thriller” — Michael Jackson
  • “Billie Jean” — Michael Jackson
  • “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’” — Michael Jackson
  • “Human Nature” — Michael Jackson
  • “Workin’ Day and Night” — Michael Jackson

Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan, Michael explores Jackson’s journey from a young prodigy performing with his brothers to the visionary performer whose ambition reshaped the music industry.

According to the film’s official synopsis, the story traces Jackson’s life “from the discovery of his extraordinary talent as the lead of The Jackson 5 to the visionary artist whose creative ambition fueled a relentless pursuit to become the biggest entertainer in the world.”

Jaafar Jackson stars as Michael Jackson in his feature film debut. The cast also includes Colman Domingo, Nia Long, Miles Teller, Kat Graham, Laura Harrier, Juliano Valdi, and KeiLyn Durrel Jones.

Produced by Graham King, John Branca, and John McClain, the film will be distributed domestically by Lionsgate, with Universal handling international markets outside of Japan.
