Micheaux Film Festival Reveals 2025 Gold Night Honorees — RJ Cyler to Host

The Micheaux Film Festival has announced the honorees for its 2025 Gold Night: Young Hollywood Party, the festival’s signature closing celebration, taking place Saturday, October 25, 2025, at One Culver in Culver City.

Hosted by RJ Cyler (Power Rangers), the event will honor the next generation of talent and the visionary artists paving the way for them — Gail Bean, Tosin Morohunfola, Adriyan Rae, Mike Merrill, and Shanice Williams — a dynamic group of creatives shaping the future of Hollywood storytelling through their artistry, resilience, and purpose-driven impact.

“Each of our young honorees reminds us that purpose is louder than fear, that art is ministry, and that every truth told on screen has the power to heal something in the world,” said Micheaux Film Festival co-founder and Emmy-nominated filmmaker Noel Braham. “Their testimonies are proof that God doesn’t waste pain — He repurposes it. Just as Sidney Poitier broke barriers with grace and purpose, these artists carry that same fire forward, redefining excellence and reminding us that legacy is earned through courage and faith.”

Set against the sleek backdrop of One Culver, Gold Night reimagines the glamour of Hollywood’s golden era for a new generation. The celebration will feature partnerships with The Black Bouquet LA, a Black woman–owned digital media platform, and Shicken Productions as media partners. NAACP Studios also joins as a proud screening sponsor for this year’s festival.

Named in honor of pioneering filmmaker Oscar Micheaux, the festival has become one of the nation’s fastest-growing multicultural film festivals, championing inclusivity, representation, and innovation across film, television, and digital media. Through Gold Night, the Micheaux Film Festival extends its mission beyond the screen — celebrating artistry, fostering community, and inspiring collaboration among Hollywood’s emerging leaders.

The 2025 Gold Night: Young Hollywood Party will close this year’s Micheaux Film Festival in grand style, honoring artistry, ambition, and the cultural power of the next generation of Hollywood.
