NBC Drops Teaser for ‘The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins,’ Sets Post-NFL Early Premiere

NBC is officially rolling out its new midseason comedy The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, unveiling a teaser trailer and key art while confirming an early, high-profile premiere timed to the NFL playoffs.

The Tracy Morgan-led series will debut with a special premiere on Sunday, January 18, airing immediately following the NFL playoff matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the Chicago Bears. The move positions the comedy in front of a massive football audience ahead of its regular rollout.

The 10-episode series centers on Reggie Dinkins, a disgraced former football star played by Tracy Morgan, who is attempting to rebuild his public image after a career-ending scandal. In a bid for redemption, Reggie enlists award-winning filmmaker Arthur Tobin, portrayed by Daniel Radcliffe, to document his comeback. What follows is a deeply uncomfortable, often chaotic journey that forces Reggie to confront the decisions and relationships that led to his downfall.

The main cast also includes Erika Alexander as Monica, Reggie’s ex-wife, agent, and business manager, alongside Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way, and Jalyn Hall.

A robust guest star lineup rounds out the season, including Craig Robinson, Heidi Gardner, Ronny Chieng, Anna Camp, Corbin Bernsen, and Michael Kosta, who appears as a smug, SportsCenter-style television anchor.

Following its early debut, the series returns Monday, February 23, with an encore airing of the pilot at 8 p.m., followed by a new episode at 8:30 p.m. Beginning March 2, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins will settle into its regular Monday 8:30 p.m. time slot. Episodes will stream next day on Peacock.

The series is co-created by Robert Carlock and Sam Means, who also serve as co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers. Tina Fey, Morgan, Eric Gurian, and David Miner executive produce.

Produced by Universal Television in association with Little Stranger, Inc., 3 Arts Entertainment, Bevel Gears, Means End Productions, and Streetlife Productions, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins blends sports satire, media culture, and personal reckoning—kicking off its run with a playoff-sized spotlight.
