Netflix is taking a major step into the world of video podcasts, announcing exclusive partnerships with iHeartMedia and Barstool Sports to bring more than 15 top podcasts to its streaming platform. Video episodes from these podcasts will launch in the U.S. in early 2026, with additional markets to follow.
The iHeartMedia deal includes over 15 leading podcasts across music, true crime, comedy, culture, and mental health. Highlights include The Breakfast Club with Charlamagne tha God, My Favorite Murder, Chelsea Handler’s Dear Chelsea, Bobby Bones Presents: The Bobbycast, Joe and Jada with Fat Joe and Jadakiss, This Is Important with Workaholics stars Adam Devine, Anders Holm, and Blake Anderson, and The Psychology of Your 20s. Fan-favorite history and curiosity shows such as Behind the Bastards, Stuff You Missed in History Class, and Stuff They Don’t Want You to Know are also part of the lineup.
In a parallel move, Netflix has partnered with Barstool Sports to bring its three most popular shows to the platform: Pardon My Take, The Ryen Russillo Show, and Spittin’ Chiclets. All new video episodes, along with select library content, will be exclusive to Netflix. Audio versions, however, will remain available on existing platforms, including iHeartRadio, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
This means that YouTube viewers who are used to watching these podcasts will no longer have access to the full video episodes there once they launch on Netflix. Fans can still listen to the audio versions on YouTube or other podcast platforms, but the complete video experience will require a Netflix subscription.
Combined, these partnerships bring more than 15 podcasts under Netflix’s banner, giving viewers access to some of the most influential voices in entertainment, sports, and culture. This move positions Netflix as a major competitor in the video podcast space, challenging platforms like YouTube that currently dominate the format.
