‘Yoh! Bestie’ Trailer Reveals the Next Chapter in Netflix’s ‘Yoh!’ Universe

The trailer for Yoh! Bestie is officially out, giving audiences their first look at the long-awaited continuation of South Africa’s Yoh! universe.

The feature film builds on the success of Yoh! Christmas, picking up the story fans were left hanging on after the series’ cliffhanger ending. Created by Tiffany Barbuzano and Johnny Barbuzano, Yoh! Bestie premieres February 6, 2026, on Netflix.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Knysna, the film reunites audiences with Thando and Charles as unresolved feelings resurface ahead of a destination wedding. What begins as a celebratory getaway quickly turns emotionally complicated, forcing both characters to confront truths they’ve long avoided.

The story centers on Thando, played by Katlego Lebogang, and her best friend Charles, portrayed by Siya Sepotokele. Yoh! Christmas followed Thando scrambling to present a boyfriend to her family during the holidays — unaware that Charles had been quietly in love with her all along — before ending with a mysterious knock at the door that left audiences guessing.

Yoh! Bestie finally answers that question.

As Charles returns with his fiancée in tow, Thando is forced to confront her jealousy, her unlucky love life, and the emotional history she shares with her best friend. Leaning into romance, friendship, and emotional tension, the film expands the story beyond its holiday roots into a more layered romantic comedy.

With the trailer now live, Yoh! Bestie looks poised to deliver the romantic payoff audiences have been waiting for — while further cementing the franchise as a standout within Netflix’s growing slate of African-led storytelling.
