O-T Fagbenle and Osun Group Developing Dark Action Comedy ‘Kill the Bedfords’ at Amazon MGM Studios

O-T Fagbenle is joining creative forces with Osun Group for a darkly funny, action-packed new series in development at Amazon MGM Studios.

Titled Kill the Bedfords, the apocalyptic comedy follows a dysfunctional family on a chaotic road trip to save their grandfather as the world collapses around them. The show is described as “a darkly comedic, action-packed apocalyptic road series” exploring survival, technology, and human stubbornness — all through the lens of a family that can’t stop arguing, even as civilization burns.

Fagbenle created, wrote, and will star in the series, while serving as executive producer alongside his brother Luti Fagbenle and Sheila Nortley of Osun Group. Tara Ayeni, Osun’s head of development, also joins the producing team.

The project marks a reunion for the team that previously worked on O-T’s British comedy Maxxx, which he also wrote and directed. Luti executive produced that series, and Ayeni contributed as a writer and script editor.

Sharing the news on Instagram, O-T wrote, “Super excited about this 🙌🏽 Had the time of my life making Maxxx, and now we’re onto something even wilder. Kill the Bedfords is happening at @amazonprime with my brother Luti and the incredible team at @osungroup. Apocalyptic. Dark. Comedy. Everything I love in one show.”

Best known for his Emmy-nominated performance as Luke Bankole in The Handmaid’s Tale, Fagbenle’s screen credits also include The First Lady, WeCrashed, Loot, and Presumed Innocent.

Osun Group — led by Luti Fagbenle and Sheila Nortley — continues to expand its diverse slate with titles like the BBC Storyville documentary White Man Walking, Netflix’s Blue Therapy, and Koppels in Crisis for Streamz. The company is also developing a series adaptation of Yrsa Daley-Ward’s novel The Catch.

With Kill the Bedfords, the team is merging sharp humor, family drama, and end-of-the-world energy into something completely its own.
