OWN Doubles Down on Iyanla Vanzant With Two New Specials After ‘The Inside Fix’ Dominates Among Black Women

Iyanla Vanzant isn’t going anywhere.

Following the strong rollout of Iyanla: The Inside Fix, OWN has officially greenlit two new television specials starring the Emmy-winning spiritual life coach. Production is set to begin in March, with both specials continuing Vanzant’s signature work—guiding individuals and families through personal crises with an emphasis on accountability, healing, and transformation.

The greenlight comes after The Inside Fix premiered at No. 1 among African American women, according to OWN. The network also reports that it remains the top-rated cable destination among African American women on Saturdays, solidifying the series as a key part of its weekend lineup.

While full details about the upcoming specials are still under wraps, OWN confirmed that Vanzant will sit down with people in crisis before a live studio audience. The format will center on community and family dynamics, expanding the emotional depth and real-time energy that has long defined her work.

“The response to ‘The Inside Fix’ has been nothing short of a blessing,” Vanzant said in a statement. “The series is a ministry of healing. Each story, each tear, each moment of truth is a sacred encounter with the human soul. When one soul speaks its truth, the frequency of truth expands through the collective. When one heart is cleansed, the vibration of wholeness ripples outward.”

She continued, “Those who watch are not bystanders; they are participants in the collective healing process for themselves, their families, their communities and the world. It is not about fixing your life. It is about freeing your soul. No more surface solutions. This is where truth becomes transformation.”

Iyanla: The Inside Fix marked a shift in approach for Vanzant. Rather than introducing new participants, the series revisited 12 of the most memorable episodes from her long-running hit Iyanla: Fix My Life, offering deeper reflection and additional context around the original breakthroughs.

Vanzant first debuted on OWN in 2012 with Fix My Life, a series that ran for nearly a decade and became known for its direct, emotionally charged conversations around trauma, family conflict, and personal responsibility. Over the years, the show featured both everyday individuals and public figures, building a reputation for unfiltered dialogue and difficult but necessary confrontations.

Beyond television, Vanzant has authored more than 17 books, including In the Meantime, Yesterday I Cried, and Forgiveness: 21 Days to Forgive Everyone for Everything, establishing herself as one of the most recognizable spiritual voices in modern self-help culture.

Iyanla: The Inside Fix is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, a Banijay Americas company, for OWN. The series airs Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the network.

With two new specials now in motion, OWN is doubling down on what’s clearly resonating: intimate conversations, uncomfortable truths, and the kind of inner work that keeps audiences coming back.
