‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Returns With New Trailer for Season 2 [TRAILER]

It’s almost time to head back to Camp Half-Blood. Disney+ has dropped the official trailer for season two of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, teasing a daring new quest inspired by Rick Riordan’s second novel, The Sea of Monsters.

The new season premieres December 10 on Disney+ and Hulu with a two-episode debut, followed by weekly episodes every Wednesday.

A New Quest Begins

Season two picks up with Percy (Walker Scobell) back home in New York, but peace doesn’t last long. Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) arrives in a panic, and Percy’s dreams warn him that his best friend Grover (Aryan Simhadri) is in danger. Meanwhile, Camp Half-Blood faces an even bigger crisis — Luke (Charlie Bushnell) has poisoned the sacred tree protecting the camp’s borders, leaving its demigods vulnerable to ancient threats.

To save both Grover and their home, Percy teams up with Annabeth and his newly discovered half-brother Tyson (Daniel Diemer) for a treacherous journey into the Sea of Monsters. Along the way, they’ll battle new creatures, confront old enemies, and uncover deeper truths about family, loyalty, and destiny.

Returning and New Faces

The main cast returns alongside a powerhouse lineup of recurring and guest stars. Season two features Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, and Daniel Diemer.

New additions include Tamara Smart as Thalia Grace, Courtney B. Vance as Zeus (replacing the late Lance Reddick), and appearances by Andra Day, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jason Mantzoukas, Timothy Simons, Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal, Margaret Cho, Glynn Turman, Virginia Kull, Adam Copeland, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Toby Stephens as Poseidon.

Expanding the World

Created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, the new season dives deeper into the mythology and emotional stakes of the demigods’ world. Executive producers include Steinberg, Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Dan Shotz, Craig Silverstein, and The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, among others.

Bonus Content and What’s Next

Disney+ is also launching a Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast starting December 10. The companion series will drop after each new episode, offering behind-the-scenes stories, cast discussions, and deeper looks at the lore of the show.

Season three — already in production in Vancouver — will adapt the next installment in Riordan’s bestselling saga, The Titan’s Curse.

The gods aren’t done with Percy Jackson yet — and from the looks of this trailer, the stakes have never been higher.
