Phill Lewis Will Reprise Role and Amanda Morrow Joins Cast of ‘Scrubs’ Reboot

ABC’s upcoming Scrubs reboot is adding both familiar and fresh faces to its lineup. Phill Lewis will reprise his role as Hooch, while Amanda Morrow boards the series as one of the new interns at Sacred Heart Hospital.

They’ll join the returning core cast of Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes, and John C. McGinley.

According to the official logline:

“JD (Braff) & Turk (Faison) scrub in together for the first time in a long time — medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.”

Alongside Lewis, Robert Maschio will also return as Todd. New recurring guest stars include Vanessa Bayer (Saturday Night Live, I Love That For You) as Sibby, who runs Sacred Heart’s faculty wellness program, and Joel Kim Booster (Fire Island, Loot) as Dr. Eric Park, a hospital attending.

The incoming intern class features Ava Bunn (A Man on the Inside) as Serena, Jacob Dudman (The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die) as Asher, David Gridley (The Rookie) as Blake, Layla Mohammadi (The Persian Version) as Amara, and Amanda Morrow (Mirrorland) as Dashana.

Behind the scenes, Scrubs alums Tim Hobert and Aseem Batra are serving as showrunners and executive producers, with original creator Bill Lawrence executive producing via Doozer alongside Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, and Randall Winston. Braff, Faison, and Chalke are also on board as executive producers. The revival hails from 20th Television, with Lawrence still under his overall deal at Warner Bros. Television.
