NBC’s Brilliant Minds returns this September, and Season 2 is bringing in new faces — including The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Porsha Williams.
Inspired by the life and work of world-famous neurologist and author Oliver Sacks, Brilliant Minds follows Dr. Oliver Wolf (Zachary Quinto), a bold, unconventional neurologist, and his team of interns as they explore the final frontier — the human mind — all while facing their own emotional challenges and relationships.
The ensemble cast includes Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, Teddy Sears, and Donna Murphy. Bellamy Young is set to recur this season, and new series regulars Al Calderon, Brian Altemus, and John Clarence Stewart are joining the cast.
Williams will guest star in the Season 2 premiere as Bitsy — a well-connected Upper West Side housewife who becomes a patient of Dr. Carol Pierce. With deep ties to the city’s social and medical circles, Bitsy is a walking source of gossip and influence, especially on New York’s elite medical boards.
She shares the episode with Bitten and Smallville alum Laura Vandervoort, who plays Cynthia Grudko — a mother of two and the wife of an MMA fighter experiencing mysterious symptoms. As his condition worsens, Cynthia refuses to back down, advocating for his health even against those in his corner.
More guest stars this season include:
- Younger’s Molly Bernard in Episode 2 as Lauren Brooks, a young professional who suffers a mental health crisis while filming a reality dating show — with cameras still rolling.
- Connor Tomlinson in Episode 3 as Tom, a quirky group home resident obsessed with spy thrillers who intersects with the team during a new case.
Season 2 of Brilliant Minds premieres this September on NBC.
