RodFather Productions is gearing up to deliver a fresh take on modern love with Funny Feelings, an upcoming romantic comedy that explores the blurred — and often messy — space between friendship, chemistry, and unspoken emotions.

Directed by NAACP Image Award nominee and winner Rhonda Baraka, the film stars Pretty Vee and Tristan Mack Wilds as best friends and comedy partners whose undeniable chemistry threatens to upend both their personal and professional lives.

The ensemble supporting cast includes Terri J. Vaughn, Danielle LaRoach, Etienne Maurice, Kinyumba Mutakabbir, gospel star Pastor Mike McClure Jr., comedian B. Simone, DaSan Frazier, and Chadwick Farley.

At its core, Funny Feelings follows Nick and Zoey, longtime best friends whose on-stage banter and comedic rhythm have built a devoted following — and sparked constant speculation. What begins as “just a bit” starts to unravel when a potential streaming deal, unresolved romantic tension, and a viral onstage meltdown push their relationship into the spotlight. As audiences obsess over what’s real and what’s performative, Nick and Zoey are forced to confront the emotional truth behind the jokes, the timing they’ve missed, and the feelings neither wants to name.

The film is written by Je’Don Holloway-Talley and produced by Roderick McClure, founder of RodFather Productions, alongside Joshua Ferrell. Executive producers include McClure, Morgan Kokaram, and Ferrell.

Filmed entirely on location in Atlanta, principal photography wrapped in mid-September 2025, positioning the project for an early 2026 release.

Funny Feelings marks the latest project from RodFather Productions following the 2025 thriller Both Eyes Open, which starred Gail Bean. With its blend of comedy, romance, and cultural commentary, Funny Feelings is shaping up to be a timely exploration of love, performance, and the emotional risks we take when the line between the two begins to blur.
