Lifetime is expanding its creative roster with two powerhouse producers. During its Upfront presentation, the network announced that Queen Latifah and Taraji P. Henson have each partnered with Lifetime to develop and executive produce new original films, adding them to the network’s growing list of creative collaborators.
The announcement positions both actors as key behind-the-scenes partners as Lifetime continues building its slate of female-driven stories.
Queen Latifah will executive produce three new Lifetime original movies through her production company Flavor Unit Entertainment, alongside longtime producing partner Shakim Compere. Latifah has long balanced acting and producing across film and television, and this partnership further expands her work shaping stories centered on women.
Taraji P. Henson will executive produce two original films through her banner TPH Entertainment in partnership with Fox Entertainment Studios. Development and production will be overseen by Jamila Jordan-Theus, head of production and development for TPH Entertainment. Additional details on the films will be revealed at a later date.
With the deals, Latifah and Henson join a lineup of creative partners working with Lifetime that already includes Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton, and Robin Roberts.

The partnerships reflect Lifetime’s continued strategy of collaborating with established talent both in front of and behind the camera as it builds a pipeline of original movies centered on emotionally driven and culturally resonant stories.
