Ray Campbell Joins Cast of Psychological Horror ‘Deluxe Ocean View’

Ray Campbell is stepping into the psychological horror space with Deluxe Ocean View, a chilling new film now in production on Cape Cod.

The project, written by Ryan Powers, has reassembled with a fresh cast and creative team. Callan McAuliffe leads the film alongside Camryn Manheim and Henry Ian Cusick, with Laurence Vannicelli now directing.

Set against the icy backdrop of coastal Massachusetts in the dead of winter, Deluxe Ocean View centers on investigative journalist Ethan Everett (McAuliffe), who travels to a nearly deserted luxury resort for what he hopes will be a career-saving interview. But the assignment quickly spirals into something far more unsettling.

The hotel itself begins to feel like a living force—one that exposes its guests’ deepest secrets before consuming them. As Ethan becomes entangled with the few remaining occupants—including the mysterious owner Vera (Manheim), the ever-watchful manager Oliver (Campbell), the morally complex Simon (Cusick), and a drifter named Johnny (Powers)—reality starts to fracture, pulling him into a psychological maze of guilt, repression, and unraveling truths.

Behind the scenes, Powers also produces under his R U Mad At Me Productions banner alongside Emmy-nominated producer Jason B. Stamey and Ellyn Vander Wyden, with Bradley Bredeweg serving as executive producer.

With its isolated setting, slow-burn tension, and a hotel that may have a mind of its own, Deluxe Ocean View is shaping up to lean into psychological horror in a way that blurs the line between internal demons and something far more sinister.
