Netflix’s Rebel Ridge has been named Outstanding Television Movie at the 2025 Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The ceremony took place over the weekend, Saturday, Sept. 6, and Sunday, Sept. 7, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
The action-thriller, released in September 2024, tells the story of a former Marine battling corrupt small-town police in fictional Shelby Springs, Louisiana. Written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier, the film stars Aaron Pierre, Don Johnson, and AnnaSophia Robb. Rebel Ridge had already gained recognition earlier this year when it won the Critics Choice Award for Best Movie Made for Television.
Other nominees in the category included:
- Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy (Peacock), the fourth entry in the romantic comedy franchise starring Renée Zellweger and a celebrated ensemble cast.
- The Gorge (Apple TV+), a sci-fi romance about two snipers guarding opposite sides of a mysterious canyon, starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Miles Teller.
- Mountainhead (HBO), a satirical drama from Succession creator Jesse Armstrong, featuring Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman, Cory Michael Smith, and Ramy Youssef.
- Nonnas (Netflix), a true-story drama about a Staten Island restaurateur and his kitchen staffed by grandmother-chefs, starring Vince Vaughn, Susan Sarandon, Talia Shire, Lorraine Bracco, and Brenda Vaccaro.
The full Creative Arts Emmys broadcast will air on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 8 p.m. ET on FXX.
